All INNOVENTIONS memory testers have been designed from the outset to be expandable and upgradeable as technology changes. Upgrades can take the form of Firmware Upgrades available FREE via an Internet download or Add-on Adapters which plug into the base tester. Occasionally the base unit of the tester may require upgrading or the "test engine" incorporated in some adapters may need reprogramming. The modular nature of the tester's design allows these upgrades to be performed quickly and reliably. Dependent on the complexity upgrades can be performed by Expodata in teh UK or the manufacturer's facility in Houston USA.

Ramcheck DDR2 Upgrade

This upgrade allows the testing of DDR2 DIMMs. It is essentially a new adapter that fits straight on to the tester. However, "older" systems ie: those with tester base unit PAL revisions earlier than Rev14 must be returned to Expodata for reprogramming. To determine the current revision of your tester press the following keys: ESC F2 F3 F3 scroll down to the PAL CODE entry. This must read XX14XX or higher. If it reads XX12XX or lower then the tester must be returned to Expodata for updating.

Simcheck to Ramcheck Upgrade
To support our large installed base of SIMCHECK II customers, we have designed the new RAMCHECK so that every SIMCHECK II or SIMCHECK II se can be affordably upgraded to the RAMCHECK level.

The Simcheck to Ramcheck upgrade consists of exchanging your old Simcheck for a replacement "new" Ramcheck tester. During the upgrade several components from the old Simcheck are recovered and fitted into the "new" Ramcheck tester. These comprise: the test socket, the processor, the display, and various other logic components. Obviously if these components are damaged (particularly the test socket) then an additional charge may be incurred. Please contact our sales department for pricing information concerning the available upgrade services for your test systems.
The upgraded tester has a 1 year RTB warranty excluding any connectors, cables etc.

Ramcheck DDR 333 to DDR PRO Upgrade

This upgrade allows the testing of DDR1 DIMMs at higher speed. It is essentially an adapter swap out. The existing test socket must be removed from the old DDR adapter and fitted to the new DDR PRO adapter. This can be easily achieved by most users.
However, "older" systems ie: those with tester base unit PAL revisions earlier than Rev13 must be returned to Expodata for reprogramming. To determine the current revision of your tester press the following keys: ESC F2 F3 F3 scroll down to the PAL CODE entry. This must read XX13XX or higher. If it reads XX12XX or lower then the tester must be returned to Expodata for updating.

Note: Some upgrades have to be performed at the manufacturers facility in the USA. Additional carriage charges may apply.
